On July 23rd weekend we headed to the Secret Garden Party in Cambridgeshire – a boutique festival known for great music, creativity and obscure fancy-dress! We reported live, capturing all the action from the party as it happened, read below for the event updates.

Secret Garden Party – Day One
At Secret Garden Party, we’re doing our bit to help people have exactly the festival experience they want. We started prowling the grounds this morning with a bunch of helping hands and a swag bag of goodies like blankets, pillows, ear plugs, wheelbarrow, eye masks…and of course Chucks. Mandi wanted an open air make-over. No sweat!

Secret Garden Party – Day One
At our hidden tent at Secret Garden Party, a few bands dropped by.
First up were The Correspondents. Featuring the most unsuspecting of MCs, they ignited the early birds who stumbled upon us.
As darkness fell, the growing crowd were met by Factory Floor. The three-piece cast their spell with an eclectic mix of guitars, drums and beats.
Even later, Joy Orbison took to the decks with an uplifting set while the rain and mud built up outside.
More great music and fancy dress to come today.

Secret Garden Party – Day Two
We started where we left off, handing out pillows and blankets to those just going to bed.
The lengthy shower queues were next on the hit list. Hot tea and water to the thirsty, towels and shower gel to those who hadn’t quite come prepared.
As the day wore on, we wandered around the different fields. Anyone who fancied hearing their favorite tune ever could just pick it on our mobile disco. If you wanted a bit of glam, our make-up girls had a tube of glitter ready to go. And if you needed a lift, a wheelbarrow and two willing arms took you wherever you wanted.

Secret Garden Party – Day Two
People had been drifting into our tent all day to hang out, listen to tunes and do whatever. As evening turned to night, Crazy P helped us step things up notch with a refreshing performance that got everyone rocking. The Revenge followed up with an awesome session that matched the fireworks outside.
We’ve got our Sunday best on, ready for the final day.

Secret Garden Party – Day Three
Creativity is celebrated everywhere you look.
People walk around in elaborate and obscure fancy dress. The festival’s own postal service delivers hand drawn postcards to anyone on the site. Art installations are placed throughout the grounds. Providing amazing backdrops to great music.
